The film “Hello Meera,” directed by Srinivasu Kakarla and starring Gargeyi Yellapragada, tells the story of an IT employee named Meera who returns to her hometown Vijayawada to get married. While out running errands for her wedding, her world is turned upside down by an Instagram tag from her ex-boyfriend Sudheer and a call from the police.
The film presents an interesting narrative, with Meera as the only character seen on screen, and the existence of other characters established through her phone conversations. Gargeyi delivers an impressive performance, portraying the nuances of a young girl about to get married while also dealing with a nasty police case.
Although the film starts off strong with a well-established conflict, it loses its steam as it progresses and ends on a predictable note. While there are a few instances of background music, the filmmakers could have used it better to create a more dramatic and engaging experience. However, the music by S Chinna, writing by Hyranmaye Kalyan, cinematography by Prashanth Koppineedi, and editing by Rambabu Medikonda were decent.
Overall, “Hello Meera” is an interesting experiment with a good story, and Gargeyi’s performance as the only on-screen character is impressive. However, better writing in the second half of the film could have made it more compelling.
