18 Pages: A Sweet and Engaging Love Story with a Hint of Mystery

The movie “18 Pages” by Palnati Surya Pratap, based on a story by Sukumar, is a heartwarming and engaging love story. The protagonist, Siddhu, played by Nikhil Siddhartha, is an app developer who discovers a diary written by Nandini (Anupama Parameswaran) after finding out a devastating truth about his girlfriend. As he delves into the diary, he becomes enchanted by Nandini and sets out to find her, leading to a series of mysterious events.

The movie’s strength lies in its portrayal of Siddhu’s love and longing for Nandini, and the chemistry between him and his sidekick, Baghi, played by Sarayu Roy. The film also subtly highlights the idea of destiny bringing two people together without resorting to melodramatic dialogue. However, the same cannot be said for Nandini’s character and backstory, which lacks originality and excitement, making her seem like a typical Tollywood heroine.

Despite this, Anupama’s adorable portrayal of Nandini makes up for some of the character’s shortcomings. Gopi Sundar’s music and A Vasanth’s cinematography add to the film’s appeal, but some sound and dubbing issues detract from the overall experience. While some parts of the film may come across as saccharine, it manages to keep the audience engaged, thanks to its likable cast and the mystery surrounding Nandini.

Overall, “18 Pages” is a feel-good movie that will appeal to anyone who loves a good love story. While it may not be perfect, it has its charms and is worth a watch.
