Movie Review : “Organic Mama Hybrid Alludu”

The latest movie by renowned director SV Krishna Reddy, “Organic Mama Hybrid Alludu,” fails to impress in the current scenario due to its outdated storytelling. Although the film has a talented cast and good production values, the lack of novelty in its narrative and screenplay leaves the audience wanting more. The predictable introduction of the hero and heroine, a gang of rowdies after the heroine, the hero playing the savior, the wealthy and middle-class divide being an obstacle to marriage, the subplot for humor, and the placement of duets may have worked in the past but feel uninspired now. The first half of the film manages to entertain in parts, but the second half falls apart due to misplaced humor.

However, the concept of Venkataramana’s character seeking refuge in a home theatre during moments of conflict or affliction is a well-executed and thought-out idea. The cast delivers decent performances, with the lead pair Sohel and Mrinalini Ravi impressing with their portrayal of their characters.

Rajendra Prasad and Meena together create magic on-screen, while Sunil, Ali, Viva Harsha, and Ajay Gosh generate humor adequately. The cameos by Varun Sandesh and Rashmi are entertaining, and the supporting cast, including Sapthagiri, Praveen, Prudhvi, Raja Raveendra, Krishna Bhagawan, Hema, Sana, Surekhavani, Pandu, and Rocket Raghava, also do justice to their roles.

The film features lyrics by Chandra Bose, Ramajogayya Sastry, and Srimani; choreography by Suchitra, Prem Rakshith, Ganesh, and Anee; action by Venkat and Real Satheesh; art by Siva Sriramula; editing by Prawin Pudi; cinematography by C. Ram Prasad, and story, screenplay, dialogues, music, and direction by S.V. Krishna Reddy.

While the movie has its moments of entertainment, it fails to deliver as a complete package due to its archaic storytelling and banal humor in the second half. Nevertheless, it is still a decent family entertainer with good performances and production values.
