Vakeel Saab, starring Pawan Kalyan, is one of the most highly anticipated films of the year, marking the actor’s return to the big screen after three years. The story follows three friends, Pallavi, Zarina, and Ananya, who get into trouble with some boys at a party, leading to a case being filed against them. They seek the help of lawyer Satyadev (Pawan Kalyan) to fight their case against the powerful Nanda (Prakash Raj). Will Satyadev be able to bring justice to the three women?
The film has several positives, including a stellar performance by Pawan Kalyan, who shines in the courtroom scenes with Prakash Raj. The three female leads, Nivetha Thomas, Anjali, and Ananya, also deliver solid performances, particularly in the emotional courtroom scenes that convey a message of women empowerment. Thaman’s background score and music are superb, and the cinematography and production values are excellent.
However, the film has a few drawbacks, such as a slow first half that lacks momentum, and a forced romantic track between Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Hassan’s characters. Additionally, the addition of a flashback and love story to the original Pink storyline derails the film’s focus.
Overall, Vakeel Saab is a gripping courtroom drama with a relevant social message, and Pawan Kalyan’s comeback performance is outstanding. Although the film has some flaws, it’s worth watching for fans of the star and those interested in women’s rights issues.
