Nandamuri Balakrishna, popularly known as NBK or Balakrishna, is an Indian film actor and politician who has predominantly worked in Telugu cinema. He is the sixth son of N. T. Rama Rao, a former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and a well-known Telugu film actor. Balakrishna made his debut in the film industry as a child artist at the age of fourteen with Tatamma Kala (1974) and has since then acted in over a hundred feature films, portraying various roles. He is renowned for his impeccable dialogue delivery skills. Despite campaigning for the Telugu Desam Party in every election, Balakrishna has never contested in any electoral battle himself.

Balakrishna was born on June 10, 1960, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is the sixth son of N. T. Rama Rao and Basava Tarakam. Balakrishna completed his schooling in Chennai and later pursued his Bachelor of Commerce degree at Nizam College, Hyderabad.
Film Career
Balakrishna made his acting debut as a child artist in the film Tatamma Kala (1974), directed by N. T. Rama Rao. He made his debut as a lead actor in the film Sahasame Jeevitham (1984), directed by R. C. Sekhar Reddy. Balakrishna has acted in over a hundred feature films, including some of the biggest hits in Telugu cinema.
