“Two Souls”: A Fresh Take on Love with a Unique Theme

The movie “Two Souls” directed by Shravan Kumar Kolanu revolves around the story of Akhil, who loses faith in love after being cheated on by his girlfriend and attempts suicide, only to become a soul stuck in the hospital. Here, he meets Priya, another soul with a failed love story, who insists on keeping him by her side until they both wake up. They embark on a journey in the soul world, accompanied by a real-world puppy, hoping to find love again.

The first half of the movie focuses on a different love track, but the twist in the tale leads to an exciting interval bang and keeps the audience curious for the second half. Although the story in the second half is predictable and unconvincing, it still manages to work, leading up to a perfect climax for the story.

Trinadh Varma delivers a commendable performance as the central character, and Bhavana Sagi shines in her role, showcasing her dramatic skills. The characters of Praveen and Ravi Teja Mahadasyam are also well-designed and well-acted.

The technical departments, including the editing, camerawork, and background score, enhance the movie’s overall appeal. Shashank Sriram does an excellent job with the camerawork, while the editing could have been crisper to add more pace to the movie. The music by Pratik Abhyankar and the background score by Anand Nambiar are in sync and add to the film’s emotional appeal.

Overall, “Two Souls” is not just a love story but also explores a unique theme that can be relatable to many. It offers an equal dose of emotions, love, drama, and suspense, making it a must-watch for those seeking a thrilling experience.
